Sibling Rivalry Knows no Age…Maryanne Trump is Still Jealous of her Brothers Success

Kids will be kids and adults will be adults, especially if they are siblings. The rivalry between them is never-ending. The Smothers Brothers, though in a comedic way, played on this well-known fact when Tommy Smothers use to say to his brother Dick, “Mom always liked you best.”

It’s also a well-known fact how Donald Trump was always the favored child of his father, Frederick Trump. Of all of Donald’s siblings, the senior Trump saw something special in Donald. He had a penchant for business. He had a certain tenacity his siblings did not possess.

Donald’s sister, Maryanne Trump (Barry), was simply there. Though Maryanne did go on to have a successful career as a United States Circuit Judge attorney, now worth an approximate $200-million, she could not have done so without her brother Donald’s help.

It took a recommendation from her brother to get her where she finally got. Even now that Maryanne Trump is retired, instead of being grateful for what was literally handed to her on a silver platter, she’s still jealous. Thus, the sibling rivalry continues.

For these reasons, the White House has totally dismissed a leaked audiotape of Maryanne saying negative things about her brother, who just happened to have surpassed her by becoming the President of the United States.

First things first. For one family member to secretly tape fifteen hours of conversation with another family member is just, well… ridiculous. Who does this?

When the President learned of this, his initial reaction was, “Every day it’s something else, who cares. I miss my brother, and I’ll continue to work hard for the American people. Not everyone agrees, but the results are obvious. Our country will soon be stronger than ever before.”

Maryanne Trump was heard to say, “He has no principles. None. None. And his base, I mean my God, if you were a religious person, you want to help people. Not do this.”

But she didn’t stop there. The leaked audio also has her saying, “It’s the phoniness of it all. It’s the phoniness and this cruelty. Donald is cruel.”

If Maryanne was not already an adult, at the age of 83, one would guess these were the words of a 12-year-old who might feel a twinge of jealousy towards her younger sibling.

“His goddamned tweet and lying, oh my God,” She was heard to say. “I’m talking too freely, but you know. The change of stories. The lack of preparation. The lying. Holy sh*t.” And so the sibling rivalry continues.

It’s interesting to note how her brother did not fire back at her. He wasn’t even outraged by what she had said about him. He simply dismissed it and went on to business as usual. He knew where all of this had come from. And who can blame his sister for feeling slighted? Donald certainly didn’t, but he also didn’t make any excuses for his success. He didn’t need to.

Mary Trump, the niece of both Maryanne and Donald, and the one who released the audio, only did so after being asked about the sources of what she had quoted in her book, “Too Much and Never Enough.”

The book immediately hit the bestseller list thanks to the liberals who were itching to read the dirt she supposedly dug up. But the book was a disappointment. Her words were sketchy at best. And one has to wonder, why did she wait so long to release the audiotape?

The answer to this lies in the fact that Mary Trump, who grew up around the family, knew the same thing Donald Trump knows. Kids will be kids, no matter how old they are, and sibling rivalry never ends.
